HUSKY PLUS

HUSKY PLUS provides extra benefits for children with special health care needs who are enrolled in HUSKY B (Bands 1 and 2).

Children with special health care needs either have or are at greater risk for chronic conditions. They were either born with these conditions or they developed them as they got older. These conditions can be physical, emotional, developmental or behavioral.

These children also need health and other services that are not usually required by children of the same age.

There are two HUSKY PLUS Programs: HUSKY PLUS Physical and HUSKY PLUS Behavioral.

HUSKY PLUS Physical offers many special services to children and youth who have special physical health care needs.

HUSKY PLUS Behavioral offers many community-based mental health and substance abuse services to children and youth who have intensive behavioral health needs.

To find out more about benefits and eligibility for HUSKY Plus, please call toll-free 1-877-CT-HUSKY (1-877-284-8759). To visit their website, click here

Please note: HUSKY PLUS does not apply to children in the HUSKY A program. However, there is a similar program called Children with Special Health Care Needs (Title V program) that eligible HUSKY A children can get through the HUSKY PLUS Centers.
