Starting January 1, 2012, new applicants and current HUSKY and Charter Oak members will no longer be enrolled in a health plan (Aetna Better Health, AmeriChoice or Community Health Network) or in HUSKY Primary Care. Instead, all services will be coordinated by the Department of Social Services’ single, statewide administrative services organization, or ASO. Community Health Network of Connecticut has been chosen to be the HUSKY Health and Charter Oak Health Plan ASO.

A letter with information about this change was sent to all current HUSKY and Charter Oak members during the first week of November. Please click here to see the HUSKY letter or here to see the Charter Oak letter. Please call 1-800-656-6684 if you have any questions about this change. Starting December 1, 2011, please call the new HUSKY Health program and Charter Oak Health Plan at 1-800-859-9889 if you have any questions or need more information about this change.

You should continue to call Aetna Better Health if you have any questions or issues with getting medical services between now and December 31, 2011. Please also continue to use your current health plan ID card for medical services until December 31, 2011.
