Nursing facility

A nursing facility (NF) sometimes goes by different names such as nursing home, long term care facility, or skilled nursing facility

A nursing facility is a licensed facility that provides skilled nursing or intermediate long-term care services. These facilities have a variety of services which help meet both the medical and non-medical needs of enrollees with a chronic illness or disability who cannot care for themselves for long periods of time on their own.

They provide custodial and non-skilled care, such as assisting with normal daily tasks like dressing, bathing, and using the bathroom, as well as meals, laundry, and other housekeeping needs.
