California wildfires: Information and resources

Many wildfires are burning in our state and CA Governor Gavin Newsom has declared a state of emergency. We want to make sure you are safe and can get the help you need.

If you must leave your home due to the fires, here are a few things to remember:

  • If you are in an emergency crisis and need immediate help, call 911.
  • Take with you:

    • All your prescription or daily over-the-counter medications. You can refill your medications even if they are not due. Call Member Services at 1-855-772-9076 (TTY: 711) if you need additional help with your prescriptions. You can find more information about your pharmacy benefits here.
    • Medical equipment and supplies. If you need replacement equipment or supplies, call Member Services at 1-855-772-9076 (TTY: 711).
    • Your insurance coverage cards. This includes your Medi-Cal ID card and your Aetna Better Health® of California member ID card. If you need a replacement, call Member Services at 1-855-772-9076 (TTY: 711).
    • Important documents such as your state-issued ID, birth certificate and Social Security card.
    • Your cell phone and charger.
    • An emergency kit with water, food, blankets, flashlights, batteries and a first aid kit.
  • If you need to see a doctor and your doctor is under evacuation, call Member Services at 1-855-772-9076 (TTY: 711) to find a doctor and to set up transportation.
  • If you are enrolled in care management, we will be calling to check on you. But you don’t need to wait for us to call. Contact Member Services at 1-855-772-9076 (TTY: 711) with any questions or to be transferred to your care manager.
  • For an emergency behavioral or mental health crisis, call 911. For nonurgent behavioral and mental health services, call 1-855-772-9076 (TTY: 711).
