Did you know flu shots prevent millions of illnesses and flu-related doctor’s visits each year2? They take only minutes to get and are no cost – making them an easy and convenient way to protect you and your family from illness. Plus, you can get your COVID-19 vaccine at the same time, if eligible.
Where to get your annual flu shot
There are many convenient places to go – whether you make an appointment or just walk in.
Here are some options for you:

Visit a CVS Pharmacy (R) location for your flu shot - Vaccines.gov shows regional options.
Find a flu shot location in your state - Head to a walk-in or retail health clinic, or your doctor’s office for a flu shot this year.
Who should get the flu shot
Everyone six months and older should consult their doctor about getting the flu shot with rare exception3. Getting the flu shot helps everyone, especially:
- Pregnant moms
- Children and families
- People with chronic conditions
- Caregivers
- Seniors
When to get your flu shot
A flu shot can offer protection anytime during the flu season, which stretches from October through April or May. But getting the flu shot early – before the season hits – is the best way to protect yourself and family from the virus.
