Choose Aetna Better Health as your SoonerSelect plan. You’ll get extra benefits — like rewards for healthy steps, monthly gift cards with the diaper club, options for traditional healing practices and more. Aetna is proud to be part of CVS Health®, and together we’re giving you $25 per household in over-the-counter (OTC) health supplies.

We want to help you and your family stay healthy. That’s why we cover doctor visits, lab tests, mental health care and more. We also offer “bonus benefits” that other plans may not.

Mental health and substance use disorders (SUDs) 

Your mental health is part of your whole health. So it’s just as important as your physical health. We offer several ways to support your mental health. You can also get help with SUDs. Many people need this support, so you’re not alone. Here are some highlights:
 

  • Alternatives to opioids for adults with a diagnosis of chronic pain: Enjoy up to $500 to try treatment options like acupuncture, massage therapy, yoga and dry needling.

  • Behavioral health follow-up visits: Get rewards for completing follow-up visits with a mental health practitioner after an acute behavioral health inpatient hospital stay.

  • "Keeping Kids Safe" opioid lockbox program: Make safety a priority, with a lockbox to secure medications if you have children at home.

  • Emotional support for issues like depression and substance use: Get help through programs that offer online platforms and companionship. 

Maternity Matters® program

Are you planning to start a family or expecting a child? We’ll help you stay healthy during your pregnancy. Our programs can help you get the care and services you need. And you can earn rewards for making healthy choices.  

Health and wellness for children

We have extra benefits to support your children. Here are some highlights:
 

  • GO (Get Outside) Initiative: Get $40 each year to use toward visits to the Oklahoma City Zoo, Tulsa Zoo or an Oklahoma state park pass.

  • After-school activities: Get up to $50 each year for children and youth ages 5 to 18 for activities at YMCAs, Boys and Girls Clubs, Boy Scouts or Girl Scouts and sports or after-school programs.

  • Healthy living for children: Get $50 for home exercise, sports supplies and after-school programs for children and youth ages 8 to 16 with a diagnosis of obesity. Plus, counseling sessions, more rewards and allowances.

  • Ted E. Bear, M.D.® Cub Club: Get health education, challenges and activities for children up to age 13 on topics like diet, exercise and daily hygiene.

Rides (enhanced transportation) 

You have a standard nonemergency medical transportation benefit. This is for rides to your doctor appointments. Your extra benefit includes up to 10 round trips per year for other things, like:
 

  • Job interviews and training 

  • Shopping for work clothing 

  • Grocery shopping 

  • Senior services 

  • Other community health services otherwise not covered 

Asthma home care

Members with a diagnosis of asthma can get one set of hypoallergenic bedding every year.  Members can get up to $150 each year for: 
 

  • Deep carpet cleaning  

  • Pest-control services 

Career and GED support 

Members age 16 and older can use a job skills training platform to:
 

  • Discover career paths 

  • Earn credentials and certifications 

  • Highlight skills to employers

You can also develop trade skills or get your General Equivalency Diploma (GED).

These SoonerCare members will join SoonerSelect:
 

  • Pregnant women

  • Children

  • Parents and caretaker relatives

  • Expansion adults

  • Newborns (when the mother is eligible for SoonerCare on the date of birth)

Juvenile justice-involved children and those in foster care will enroll in the SoonerSelect Children's Specialty Program.

 

SoonerSelect members can choose a health plan. If you don’t choose, the OHCA will choose one for you.

Open enrollment begins February 1, 2024. You’ll have a chance to choose a health plan during the sign-up period. You can enroll:
