You can choose Aetna Better Health® Kids as your health plan either before or after submitting your CHIP application.
Before submitting your CHIP application:
On your CHIP application form, choose Aetna Better Health Kids as your preferred health plan/managed care organization (MCO). Complete this step before submitting your application.
After submitting your CHIP application:
If you don’t choose a health plan on your CHIP application, you’ll still have time to choose one. Upon approval for CHIP, you’ll be sent an enrollment packet in the mail. Just complete the form that came along with the packet. Then, send it to the address on the form.
Changing your plan
Changing your plan
Already enrolled in a health plan? You can change it at any time. Just contact your current CHIP health plan provider to request the change. They can transfer your application to the new health plan you choose.
Want to keep your current primary care provider (PCP) if you change plans? Just contact them. You’ll want to make sure that your PCP takes part in your new plan.
