Managed long-term services and supports (MLTSS)
If you live in San Diego County and meet the state’s criteria for needing an institutional level of care, then you may qualify for MLTSS. You can get MLTSS benefits from the comfort of your home or at an assisted living home. Aetna Better Health of California covers these MLTSS benefits for members who qualify:
- Skilled nursing facility services (91+ days)
- Personal care services
- Self-directed personal assistance services
- Community first choice option
- Home- and community-based services
Your care manager
Your care manager
If you qualify, then you will also be assigned an Aetna® care manager. Your care manager will visit you in person. They’ll work with you, your friends and your family to assess your health care needs. They’ll also work with your doctor to plan your path to better health. You can call your care manager at any time for help or to schedule a face-to-face visit. Your family and friends can also be present when your care manager visits.
