Dental care

You don’t need a referral to see a dentist in the network. And you can change your dentist or dental group anytime during treatment. 

For adults
 

Members 21 years and older can get up to $500 per year toward dental services. Services are handled through our partner, SKYGEN. Your covered services include:

• Checkups (twice a year)

• Cleanings (twice a year)

• X-rays (once a year)

• Fillings and extractions

• Fluoride treatments

*Physical disability (PD), frail elderly (FE) or intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) waiver programs.

For children
 

Children and teens (under age 19) are also covered by SKYGEN. Some covered services include:

• Checkups

• Cleanings

• X-rays

• Fluoride treatments 

• Sealants

• Fillings

Just call your dentist. Go to the emergency room for medical emergencies when your life is in danger.

Find a dentist in emergencies

Is your dentist office closed? Or maybe you don’t have a dentist? To find a dentist, just call SKYGEN at 1-855-918-2257 (TTY: 711). You can reach them Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.

For emergency dental care, you can see any dentist. They don’t have to be in the network. You don’t need a referral or approval for emergencies.

Types of dental emergencies

Some examples are: 

• A broken natural tooth

• A permanent tooth comes out

• Very bad pain in the gums around a tooth with a fever
