We also offer some extra benefits to help with your health and wellness. In order to receive these extra benefits, members will need to show their Aetna Better Health of Kansas ID card. Please see the table below to find out about the extra benefits. No prior authorization is required.

To find out how to obtain the extra benefits or if you have any questions, call Member Services at 1-855-221-5656, (TTY: 711). Please note that there are no grievances and appeal rights for value-added benefits. Aetna Better Health of Kansas will offer extra benefits throughout the contract term.

Each household can order $25 per month of certain over-the-counter (OTC) drugs and supplies from the ABH catalog. You can place an order at the following link:

A complete set of dentures every 5 years up to $2,500.

Free rides for family members of children in a residential (like a Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility) or inpatient psychiatric treatment to assist with case planning and to assist with moving children home.

Up to $250 per calendar year toward pest control services.

Up to $50 per year to take part in activities with participating YMCA, Boys and Girls Club or Boys and Girls Scouts.

$500 per year for dental services.

$50 per year to use toward non-covered vision services included but not limited to no-line bifocals or anti-glare coating.

Free android smart phone with 350 free minutes and 1 GB of data every month along with unlimited text messaging for members 18 and older.

Healthy Rewards incentive program where members can get $10 to $25 gift cards to popular retail stores when they complete wellness activities such as vaccines, yearly check-ups and diabetic eye exams.

Pregnant members are encouraged to make early prenatal and postnatal visits. The PROMISE Pregnancy Program includes: 

  • A gift card worth $75 for a first visit within the first trimester, within 42 days of plan enrollment and with notification of pregnancy to the Health Plan
  • A $10 gift card if you have a dental checkup during your pregnancy
  • Earn up to $150 in gift card rewards that can be used at specific retailers to purchase approved wellness items such as a stroller, portable crib, play yard, car seat, or a diaper and wipe package

For members on the waiting list eligible for respite care we will provide one background check per year for a personal care services worker.

Ted E Bear MD Kids Club Program is for members from newborn to age 12. Member incentives includes an activity book and $10 to $25 gift cards for meeting identified goals.

Unlimited rides for members going to the pharmacy, WIC and prenatal classes. Ten round trips per year for some services otherwise not covered. Mileage reimbursement may also be available for approved trips.

Asthma Air Purifier

  • An air purifier for members age 0 to 18 with an asthma diagnosis to help lower the chance of an asthmatic attack.

Two podiatry visits per year for members with Diabetes age 21 and over.

Members 21 and older with a medical need can get up to 2 home-delivered meals a day for 7 days after discharge from an inpatient stay.

Membership to a 12-week class from the University of Kansas Weight Management Program on healthy eating, exercise and behavior change management program. One-time benefit.

GED Assistance

  • Vouchers up to $130 one-time benefit to take the GED test online.

New Chlamydia Screening Wellness Reward

  • All women who receive a chlamydia screening will earn a $25 gift card.

No Place Like Home Grant

  • Members can receive up to $5,000 in goods/services to assist with the move from a nursing facility into a home 

Door & Window Locks

  • Members with a cognitive dysfunction (ie. Dementia or Alzheimer’s) can receive two door locks and six window locks (one-time benefit).
