MIChild

MIChild is a health insurance program for uninsured children of Michigan's working families. MIChild services are provided by many health care plans throughout Michigan.

To qualify, you must:

• Be under age 19
• Have no other comprehensive health insurance
• Have a Social Security Number (or have applied for one)
• Currently live in Michigan
• Meet the income requirements

Most MIChild families pay a premium of $10 per month or $120 per year, regardless of the number of children in the family with MIChild coverage. There are no co-pays in MIChild.
