Post-stabilization services are services related to an emergency medical condition. They’re provided after the person's immediate medical problems are stabilized. They may be used to stabilize, improve or fix your condition. 

We don’t need to give prior approval for post-stabilization services. If you can, show the facility your member ID card and ask the staff to call your provider. 

The hospital must allow you to stay at the hospital, even if the hospital is not part of our provider network. You can stay until your condition is stable and you can safely be transferred to a hospital within our network.
