Aetna Better Health® of Illinois offers our members access to all covered, medically necessary behavioral health services. Our programs are tailored to the unique needs of each community we serve. Our members receive care from local teams that truly understand the specific needs of their communities. We continually introduce innovative clinical initiatives and network strategies, designed to create quality service delivery systems.

Everyone wins with the coordination of care

Working closely with providers to coordinate medical and behavioral care for members helps support appropriate screening, evaluation, treatment and referrals for:

 

  • Physical health

  • Behavioral health (which includes substance use disorders)

  • Dual and multiple diagnoses 

  • Developmental disabilities

The Pathways to Success program provides intensive care coordination and additional home and community-based services for eligible members under age 21 with complex behavioral health needs. The program also supports families and caregivers. Services include:

  • Care coordination 
  • Family peer support 
  • Counseling at home 
  • Respite services
