Once your NJ FamilyCare application receives approval, you can choose us as your health plan. If you don’t choose a plan, the state will choose one for you
Why choose us?
Choose Aetna Better Health of New Jersey as your NJ FamilyCare plan. As a member, you’ll get extra benefits for routine health visits. Here are a few of the extras you’ll receive and rewards you can earn*:
Annual dental visits
Members (ages 0 to 20 years) can get a $30 gift card. Complete one dental visit each calendar year. Find your dental home for routine oral health care and follow-ups.
Lead screening for children
Members (ages 6 months to 2 years) can get a $30 gift card. Complete one lead screening each calendar year by age two. Lead can cause health problems in children with no signs or symptoms, so talk with your doctor.
Choose or change health plans
Remember to choose Aetna Better Health of New Jersey when it’s time for enrollment. You have a few options:
- Online: Visit NJ FamilyCare enrollment.
- By phone: Call NJ FamilyCare at 1-800-701-0710 (TTY: 1-800-701-0720).
- In person: visit your local outreach and enrollment site.
Haven’t applied for Medicaid yet?
The first step is applying for NJ FamilyCare benefits. Once you enroll, you can choose Aetna Better Health of New Jersey as your plan.
