Neglect is when someone fails to get you the care and attention you need.
Exploitation is when someone mishandles or withholds your money or services.

When reporting abuse, neglect or exploitation, it is helpful to have the names, ages, addresses and phone numbers of everyone involved.
It can be hard to spot the signs and symptoms of abuse or neglect. These can also look like signs of:
A person’s frailty
Part of a disease
Refusal of visitors by a caregiver
Control by the caregiver
Sexually transmitted diseases
Long fingernails or dirty fingernails (with feces)
Unsanitary living conditions
Unsuitable or dirty clothing
Unsafe living conditions
Sudden changes in finances
