Aetna Better Health® of Kentucky provides Kentucky Medicaid coverage. We offer a wide range of benefits and services to help Medicaid members and Supporting Kentucky Youth (SKY) program members. For complete info, download our member handbook.

GED® certification and job skills training

We can help you get your GED. This is equal to a high school diploma. We’ll help you study for your GED test with online classes. And when you’re ready to take the test, you’ll get a GED test voucher.


You can also get online training for a job. We'll help you show off your skills to employers.

Extra vision and hearing services

You’re covered for vision and hearing screenings, as well as other benefits, including:


  • One pair of eyeglasses every two years at no extra cost

  • One hearing aid every year at no extra cost

Do you have a chronic (long-term) condition?

Our Momentum program helps members with certain chronic issues. You can get up to $1,500 a year to help pay for utilities and services that Medicaid doesn’t cover.

We're proud to serve all children in Kentucky’s out-of-home care system. This includes  children who are or have been in foster care. And children in the juvenile justice system. Qualifying members can learn more about getting extra benefits below.

You may have to pay at some of your appointments. You can learn more about copays here.

Other language and format needs

We provide interpreter services free of charge during any service or grievance process. This includes American Sign Language and real-time oral interpretation. If you need something translated into a language other than English, just call us. We can also provide materials in other formats, too. Like braille, audio CD or large print.  And if you need an interpreter for your medical visit, just call Member Services at 1-855-300-5528 (TTY: 711). Be sure to call 48 hours before your visit.
