Men's Health
We provide services to help men live happy, healthy lives. There are things you can do to keep illness away and stay healthy.
At any age, you can talk to your primary care physician (PCP) about any concerns you have. This is especially true if you have symptoms of diseases like diabetes, heart disease or cancer. Also, if you have risk factors such as a family history of an illness, or have unhealthy lifestyle habits, you may need some tests earlier than usual. Finally, your doctor may want you to get these shots:
- A Tetanus-Diphtheria (Td) or Tetanus, Diphtheria and Pertussis (Tdap) shot every 10 years
- A flu shot regularly, starting at age 50 –if you’re younger than 50, ask your PCP.
Regular checkups are important to be healthy. Remember to eat nutritious foods and exercise regularly. This will help you stay at a healthy weight. Don’t smoke. If you drink alcohol, it’s best to keep it to no more than two drinks a day.
