Men's health

We provide services to help men live happy, healthy lives. There are preventive measures you can take to stay healthy.

At any age, you can talk to your primary care provider (PCP) about any concerns you have. This is especially true if you have risk factors or symptoms of diseases like diabetes, heart disease or cancer. If you have risk factors, such as a family history of an illness, or certain lifestyle habits, you may need some tests earlier than usual. And remember, there are still immunizations that you need to receive:

  • A Tetanus-Diphtheria (Td) or Tetanus, Diphtheria and Pertussis (Tdap) shot every 10 years
  • A flu shot regularly, starting at age 50. If you are younger than 50, ask your PCP.

Regular checkups are important to be healthy. Remember to eat nutritious foods, exercise and maintain a healthy weight. Don’t smoke, and drink alcohol in moderation (if at all).
